Plans and prices

How much does Zama Fitness cost?

Core gives you your programme, calorie and protein targets, UK supermarket meal guides and a Weigh-In Day every four weeks. Coached adds a weekly check-in, a written review from your coach every month and a monthly form check video.

How much is a personal trainer in the UK?

A personal trainer in the gym usually costs £30 to £60 a session outside London and £40 to £150 in London. Online personal training usually costs £80 to £150 a month for one-to-one coaching.

Is a personal trainer worth it?

For most people who have stalled on their own, yes. A good personal trainer builds a plan around your week, reviews your results and changes the plan when progress slows. Online coaching gives you that for much less than sessions in the gym.

How much does an online personal trainer cost in the UK?

Most one-to-one online coaches charge £80 to £150 a month, and premium coaching runs to around £275. Apps cost £8 to £20 a month. Zama Fitness is £29 or £59 a month.

How do I pay?

By card, monthly. We email you before every renewal, so nothing comes as a surprise.

What you get each month

What happens when I sign up?

You answer eleven quick questions about your goal, your kit, the days you can train and how you eat. It takes about three minutes, and your programme, targets and first week of meals are ready at the end.

Where does my plan live?

In the Zama Fitness member app, on your phone or your computer. Your sessions, targets, meals, logs and Weigh-In Day reports are all in one place.

Do I get a meal plan?

You get calorie and protein targets, UK supermarket meal guides and recipes, and a week of meals with a shopping list in UK pack sizes. You can swap meals you do not fancy.

Will my plan change over time?

Yes. Every four weeks your coach reads your Weigh-In Day results and changes your training and food targets for the next four weeks.

Weigh-In Day

What is Weigh-In Day?

Every four weeks you log your weight trend, a few measurements, front and side photos and a short check-in. You see your report straight away, then your coach reviews it and adjusts your plan.

Why every four weeks?

Weight moves around from day to day with water, salt and sleep. Four weeks is long enough to see the real trend and short enough to change the plan before you lose momentum.

Do I have to weigh myself every day?

No, but morning weigh-ins a few times a week give a much clearer trend than a single number. The app works out your trend for you.

Your coach

Is this a real coach or an app?

Both. The app holds your plan, reminders, logging and reports. A qualified coach reads your check-ins and makes the decisions, and you always know who your coach is.

Who is the head coach?

Simon, coaching since 2008, with Level 4 Nutrition & Weight Management, Level 3 Advanced Personal Trainer, Level 3 Sports Massage, FASTER Masters Diploma (sports science CPD). Simon writes the programmes and nutrition templates and sets the coaching standards.

What qualifications do the coaches have?

Every coach holds Level 3 personal training as a minimum and is insured for online coaching. Nutrition targets are set by specialists qualified to Level 4 in nutrition and weight management.

How often will I hear from my coach?

On Core, every four weeks, when your coach reviews your Weigh-In Day. On Coached, every week through your check-in, with a written review every month.

Training

Do I need a gym?

No. Every programme has a gym version and a home version, so you can switch when life gets in the way.

I have never lifted weights. Can I join?

Yes. Your programme starts at your level, every exercise has a video, and the app shows what you lifted last time so you know what to aim for. Coached adds a monthly form check video so your coach can see your technique.

How long are the sessions?

You choose how long you have when you sign up, and the programme is built to fit it.

Can I swap an exercise I do not like?

Yes. Swap any exercise for another that works the same muscles, from inside the app.

Weight-loss medication

Do you work with people on Mounjaro or Wegovy?

Yes. We run a separate support plan for people losing weight with prescribed medication: a gentler strength and nutrition programme, reviewed by a registered dietitian, that works alongside your prescriber.

Do you prescribe weight-loss medication?

No. We coach your training and food. Questions about your medicine or your dose go to your prescriber or GP.

How do I keep muscle on a weight-loss medicine?

Strength training two or three times a week, protein at every meal, and tracking your strength as well as the scales. Our guide on losing weight on Mounjaro without losing muscle has the full plan.

Cancelling and refunds

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, online in two clicks from your account. No calls, no emails and no cancellation fees.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes. If it is not for you, ask within 30 days of your first payment for a full refund.

Who is it for?

Adults aged 18 and over in the UK. Zama Fitness is coaching, not medical care, so speak to your GP first if you have a health condition.
