Personal trainer London prices, and an online personal trainer for less

A personal trainer in London costs £40 to £60 a session in a commercial gym, £60 to £90 with an experienced trainer, and £90 to £150 or more at premium studios. That is £215 to £650 a month for one session a week. Zama Fitness is an online personal trainer for the gym you already use, from £29 a month.

London trainer prices from a London 2026 price guide, checked 24 October 2026. A month is 4.33 weeks. Prices vary by trainer and area.

Central and west London trainers usually charge more than those in outer boroughs. Most experienced trainers sell blocks of sessions, which can bring the price per session down a little.

Online personal trainer London: why it suits the city

  • Your commute sets your week. No fixed session times: train at the gym by your office one day and the one by your flat the next.
  • Any gym, or none. Every programme has a home version for a flat with a mat's worth of floor and a pair of dumbbells.
  • The whole week is covered. Every session, your calorie and protein targets and your meals, not just the hour you are with a trainer.
  • A review every month. On Weigh-In Day your coach reads your trend and changes the plan.

Training in London without a gym session

London makes the daily walk easy, and the walk matters more for fat loss than most people think.

  • Get off a stop early, or walk one leg of the commute: it adds thousands of steps a week without finding extra time.
  • The Thames Path runs along both banks of the river through the city, flat and good for walking or an easy run.
  • The big parks, such as Hyde Park, Regent's Park, Victoria Park, Clapham Common and Hampstead Heath, are good for longer walks and runs, and several have free outdoor gym equipment.
  • Take the stairs at stations with a long climb, and walk up the escalator if your knees are happy with it.

Eating well on London food

Most Londoners shop little and often at a Tesco Express, Sainsbury's Local, Co-op or M&S Food, with a bigger shop at a large store, Lidl or Aldi. Your meal guides use food from all of them, in UK pack sizes, and the lunch you grab near work counts too: our guide to high protein supermarket food covers building a high protein meal deal.

How it works

  • Answer eleven questions about your goal, kit, week and food, in about three minutes.
  • Get your plan: a programme for your gym or home with a video for every exercise, calorie and protein targets, and meals with a UK shopping list.
  • Train and log. On Coached, a quick weekly check-in too.
  • Weigh-In Day every four weeks: your coach reads your trend and changes your training and food.

Personal training in London: your questions.

How much is a personal trainer in London?

Around £40 to £60 a session with a trainer in a commercial gym, £60 to £90 with an experienced trainer, and £90 to £150 or more for premium studios, specialists and home visits. Central and west London usually cost more than outer boroughs.

How much does a personal trainer cost a month in London?

One session a week at £50 is about £215 a month, and two a week about £430, before your gym membership. Online personal training with us is £29 or £59 a month, on top of whatever gym you already use.

Is an online personal trainer worth it in London?

If you already know your way round a gym, usually yes. You keep your own gym and your own hours, which matters when your commute decides your week, and the coaching covers every session and your food for less than one London session.

Can I train at home in a London flat?

Yes. Every programme has a home version that needs a pair of adjustable dumbbells and a mat's worth of floor, and nothing that will annoy the downstairs neighbours.

Do you have trainers who meet you in London?

No. We coach online only, anywhere in the UK. If you want someone beside you in the gym, a London trainer is the right choice; if you want a plan, food targets and a coach reviewing your progress, online costs much less.

Can I ask for a female coach?

Yes. Lydia is our women's coach: ask for her when you join.
